WHO AM I?

My photo
I can be very jovial and talkative at times and if you are unlucky, you'll find a moody me.Be humble and down to earth is what I was taught to be.I do not know what my future will turn out to be, but for now I am enjoying the life that God has bestowed upon me!

SPAGHETTI @k@ MEE SUP MERAH..

Spaghetti will always safe the day when I'm in no mood to cook any dishes.Besides, this Italian cuisine is highly demanded by my kids cause they love pasta sooo much..But unfortunately, Norm has yet to remember the food by its name. Instead of asking for spaghetti, he would say "Mommy, nak mee sup merah....".He will address all types of noodles with gravy as "mee sup"..Well, whatever it is, I am happy to see that they really enjoyed their meals. The so called "easiest-dish-to prepare" Spaghetti filled up their hungry little tummies...

MUQADDAM LESSON WITH MOMMY...

I know my kids are still too young to understand the need to learn the muqaddam...but looking at their 24-7 busy schedule, updating themselves with the programmes in stores for them @Astro channels 611,612,613 and 614..I started to get worried sick..so I make it a must for them to have at least 3 sessions of muqaddam lesson per week..sofea is easy to handle, but norman..oh..so hard to get him to sit for even one minute!!!like father like son..perhaps!hehe..jangan mare ayang...

MISPRONUNCIATION

My son is now improving in his speech and can now converse clearly in his mother tongue as well as his second language. But he is still trying his best to pronounce some words correctly. Here are some of his favourite mistakes:

#Superman! > #Spersperman!
#Starwars! > #Parwash!
#Thomas and Friends! > #Tomtomas and Friends!
#Ninja Turtles! > #Ninja Purple!
#yei,kita menang! > #yei,kita benang!
#kita dah lama kat sini! > #kita dah banyak kat sini!
#Norman nak mandi sendiri! > #Norman nak mandi selili!

USTAZ NORMAN AL-HARITH...

Last Sunday we had a mini "tahlil" at my in-laws'.So after showering the kids,I tried to think of the best attire for my boy to attend the ceremony.T-shirts and short pants are his everyday uniform, so I wanted him to wear something different..something that could make him look a little religious hehehe, and suddenly the gift bought by my parents in-law from Meccah popped into my mind.It was really hard to get him to wear something totally out of his taste for clothing but after much persuasion plus scolding,he finally surrendered...and he made a few attempts to take off the "thing" that we put on his head and his daddy had to give him that stern warning look to stop him from doing so....and the result was this...
Pakai jubah and kopiah...ader tokoh tak jadi Ustaz Norman..

JOB WELL DONE VIE!!

I seldom drive nowadays as my hubby will always save the day and furthermore, workplace is a just a stone throw away.So my mode of transportation is my feet!!Driving is not a problem for me but when it comes to parking..yes it is!Especially when it involves side parking,OH MY GOD, I'm the worst car "parker" ever!

Two weeks ago,I went to check out this dance class near my place which has actually trigger the interest of me and my fellow sisters in-law.There were plenty of parking lots but very limited space for cars to move about.I was uncertain on where I should park my car, but then I thought to myself "What the heck, just parklah..".So I reversed the car backwards to one of the lots and TARRAA!!!!!I parked my car perfectly at one go, no adjustments made at all!!!!I repeat, no adjusments,I didn't go back and forth, back and forth as always!I don't care what you guys may think of me but I am proud of myself that day.Oh come on...don't give me that look..will ya?

UNDERNEATH YOUR CLOTHES

You're a song,Written by the hands of God,
Don't get me wrong,This might sound to you a bit odd,
But you're the place,Where all my thoughts go hiding,
Right under your clothes,Is where I'll find them...

Underneath your clothes,There's an endless story,
There's the man I chose,There's my territory,
And of all the things I deserve,For being such a good girl honey..

Because of you I forgot the smart ways to rhyme,
Because of you, I'm running out of reasons to cry,
When the friends are gone, When the party's over,
We'll still belong to each other......

Underneath your clothes, There's an endless story,
There's the man I chose, There's my territory,
And of the things I deserve,For being such a good girl honey..

For you my luv...now,always,forever....
(a song I tuned to when we were far apart years ago..)

SCHOOL HOLIDAY IS OVER..HUHU!!

While most teachers are enjoying their 2 weeks of school holiday, I ,on the other hand spent 3 weeks of holiday, hurray!! Thanks to KAT(Kejohanan Antara Teknik)which started a week earlier than the school break and since my debate team won the state level,me and 2 other teachers had to settle for earlier break to Sungai Petani to face the challenge at national level.(so the trip to Sungai Petani was considered an extra holiday for me and my gals...hehehhe).

The debate team On our way to Padang Besar..

Though my debate team only made it to the semi-finals,we were surprisingly feeling satisfied and honored cause my dear students have given their best shots.Losing to Perak seemed not so bad after all as we had the chance to roam around and enjoyed ourselves. We made a short trip to Padang Besar in Perlis(where I shop till I drop, ye ker?),Alor Setar and Candi Lembah Bujang.

@Candi Lembah Bujang

As for my kids...luckily they are still too young to ask for school holiday vacation but nonetheless,me and my hubby still tried our best to take them somewhere. So, right after I got back from Kedah,I accompanied hubby for a meeting in KL.This time around,we decided to stay at The Legend Hotel as it is so much convenient with The Mall just next to it.We even took the LRT to KLCC just for the sake of letting the kidz enjoy the ride(sampai tersalah naik train!!)..and as usual, the kidz and their daddy can never skip the pool part..so they had their big splashes while mommy dia (yg takut basah) just stay at the side at of the pool. Can't wait for the next
school holiday in August.

GUAVA ANYONE?

Guava is one of the best fruits available. Guava is cholesterol, saturated and sodium free, plus low in fat and calories. Guava is high in fiber. The edibile rind of a guava contains 5 times more vitamin C than an orange. Guava, like other tropical fruits should not be refrigerated unless over ripe. The seeds of a guava can be eaten and the taste is often described as a cross between pears and strawberries.

Guava is a great fruit because it contains key nutrients like: vitamin C,(vitamin A),folate, potassium, fiber, calcium and iron. Good quality guavas should be firm and free of bruises. Ripe guavas should exhibit a fragrant fruity aroma. They will continue to ripen after harvest and should be stored at room temperature.Unless it is very ripe,it should be refrigerated.Lets GUAVA guys !!!

Of all the places in KL, we decided to visit "Zoo Negara" last Wesak Day Holiday.Joining us were my all my in-laws and the cousins of Norman and Sofea..The children had so much fun waving and shouting hellos to their long lost friendz. The adults? We lost a few kilos touring around, plus a few kilos more carrying our tired yet sleepy kidz at the end of the day...

JOURNEY #3- Langkawi Island(April)

My next vacation was to Langkawi Island. We drove all the way to Cyberjaya, parked our car safely at my brother in-law's apartment and then took the plane. It was a bit tiring to handle those big bulky luggages but at the same time an unforgettable memory too, as it was the first time the four of us get to board on plane together (selalunya daddy je yang dapat naik plane).

As expected, the children were the most excited and got flabbergasted to see the planes from the departure hall. But, unfortunately, that was not for long...The closer we reached the plane, the louder they started to scream..I guess the sound of the engine scare them the most, plus the gigantic size of the plane was unimaginable to them..waving to the planes up in the sky seemed much easier than having the actual one in front of their very own eyes..!There were few other kids on board..and that helped my two kids to calm down and relaxed. And the next thing we knew..we were flying up high among the clouds!!So Norman, your wish is granted!!(he has always wanted to board a plane).

Date of departure(from KLIA): 5th April 2008
Date of arrival(to KLIA): 8th April 2008
Accommodation: Langkasuka Beach Resort and Hotel
Mode of transportation:A rented Nissan Serena
Number of people involved:10(The Amryls,my mom,my 2 brothers,
my Singaporean family).
Places visited:"Makam Mahsuri",Ismail Group store,
Idamansuri(Of course!!),Minyak Gamat Store,etc

And one thing for sure we ate seafood (a lot!) and we even grabbed some Langkawi-made durians!Marvellous!!And the "pisang gorengs" in most stalls in Langkawi were soo tasty and sweet and juicy..Langkawi,we will definitely be back ..

Journey #2 - THE EAST COAST STATES(March)

On the 8th of March(during school holiday),me and hubby came up with this wild idea of a getaway far to the east coast states - Pahang, Terengganu and definitely Kelantan. It was unplanned and we were unsure of what were actually doing. The idea was to just drive as far as we could and stop and rest at any location possible. With our two small kids in the car, it was quite a risky trip to undergo. But since my hubby was really in the mood to have a joyride,we didn't think twice..What a tiring trip, but we enjoyed every single moment together. It was satisfying!!

PAHANG DARUL MAKMUR...CHERATING BEACH.

TERENGGANU DARUL IMAN...BATU RAKIT BEACH.

KELANTAN DARUL NAIM...CINTA BERAHI BEACH & RANTAU PANJANG BORDERS.

And since 8th March was the National Election Day,we eye witnessed the greatest flag wars ever(never seen such a scene here in JB..ader tu memang ader, but not as happening as those in Terengganu and Kelantan).

Journey #1 - KL / PUTRAJAYA(FEBRUARY)

I started year 2008 with a few journeys and getaways and "jalan-jalan cari makan".We started off with a small so called family reunion and "get-together" in KL last Chinese New Year in February.Though I have had uncountable trips to KL/PUTRAJAYA before, but this one was a bit different as it only involved my family members and not of my hubby's.Plus my "ibuk", "ayah" and "Kak Yus"(my closest aunt, uncle and cousin from Singapore)have decided to join us.Yay!!The more the merrier..

We stayed at my brother's small yet cozy apartment at Flora Damansara.Everybody squeezed in..haha!!macam tin sardin you!!But it was fun..Ibuk became the cook the whole time we were there and the food was finger lickin'good, yumyum!!We ate, talked, laughed, like there was going to be no tomorrow, ate again and then we took a little tour around KL and Putrajaya. The Singaporeans just loved the picturesque view of Putrajaya. And the Satay Kajang of HJ Samuri have successfully made our mouth watered and those satays were totally worth eating. After a 2-day stay, we safely returned to JB without being caught in any traffic jams, thank God!!
